In Latin America we still face high levels of inequality; lack of access to basic resources (water, light, healthcare, education); fast growth of environmental degradation and lack of transparency from both institutions and governments.
But from the Mapuche to the Kayapó, from the favelas to the city centers, from Ribeirinhos to the urban citizens, the Latin American DNA is collaborative, innovative and in harmony with the environment. Besides, our continent is currently breaking paradigms through the disruptive technologies of the New Economy.
It's time for us to establish a dialogue between tradition and transition to understand how the encounter of social and digital innovations will make the challenges of Latin America a thing of the past.see the entire program→
It’s an event in which every possible measure is taken to reduce and avoid residues being sent to landfills or incinerating plants.
This decision implicates on planning carefully how to reduce the number of solid residues generated, limiting the use of unnecessary items, reusing and recycling materials, donating the leftovers and above all making those principles clear for everyone.
during the whole event we’ll monitor the energy consumption and we will try to compensate it afterwards through a donation to the project “Dá Pé”.
Partnership: Green Ant
ColaborAmerica will take advantage of the digital innovations to create a more concious event. Don’t expect to get a printed programme or a freebies bag! All the information that you’ll need will be available right in your hands through your phone!
the event’s location is actually part of a construction site. Therefore, most of the material used in our scenography comes from the residues of this site.
Partnership: Rua City Lab
we’ll calculate our equivalent impact in Carbon and compensate part of it (albeit still small, we know) through the support of a urban garden project in the surroundings of the event.
we believe that the event won’t generate any electronic residues, but we know how hard it is to properly get rid of this kind of waste. That’s why we’ll have an area on the event so you can dispose your home’s electric residues safely.
All of the event’s organic residues will be taken and transformed into fertilizer. Then, it’ll be destined to initiatives that promote the reforestation of the Atlantic Forest.
Partnership: Ciclo Orgânico
in spite of all our efforts, we know that some residue will probably be generated. But don’t panic. We’ll take every solid residue to “Doe Seu Lixo” to make sure it is correctly recycled. Besides, we’ll have a recycling machine in loco to promote awareness among the participants.
